Dr. Essam Enan is the founder and president of Genviro, Inc., a biotech company expertly forged in discovery, invention, and innovation. He has a long-standing and well-known record of over 38 years of academic and industrial research progress, as well as key discoveries. He has published over 100 scientific papers in peer-reviewed journals and is the inventor of about 50 patents. During his academic career he raised millions of dollars from government and private agencies to support his research groups at The Institute of Public Health, University of Alexandria, Alexandria, Egypt, University of California-Davis (UC-Davis), and Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Enan has had numerous breakthroughs in the fields of pesticide chemistry & toxicology, biochemistry, molecular biology, G-protein coupled receptors (GPCR) and natural products.

Dr. Enan’s scientific research discoveries and breakthroughs have had significant impact on the industry. In 1996, Dr. Enan’s discovery of octopamine receptor as a target for some plant essential oils helped the business of a pesticide company producing natural insecticides in making and selling more effective products. In 2003, Dr. Enan’s screening platform was successfully created, established and used to identify and develop synergistic blends of plant essential oils with potent insecticidal activity. This groundbreaking work led directly to the creation of another pesticide company in April 2004, which went public on the London Stock Exchange (AIMS) in 2007.

Dr. Enan is passionate about providing environmentally safer and all natural products that will drastically improve the quality of life for animals, plants, and humans, and has spent his career perfecting his science and inventions to achieve this goal.
